Abrasive Belt Grinders quickly and safely grind or polish materials to desired dimension, eliminating costly grinding wheels and time consuming wheel dressing operations. An automatic tracking control maintains proper belt alignment at all times. Machine design permits tool free belt changes while safety guards remain in place. Abrasive belts are available in many grits for a number of applications. Units ship ready to use with 10 grinding belts, tool rest and eye shields.

Grinding Belts

Productivity: In most applications, abrasive belt grinders dramatically increase productivity. Unlike conventional grinding wheels, abrasive belts are self-sharpening, continuously exposing fresh cutting points. This means no more dressing or replacing expensive grinding wheels. To accurately measure productivity, divide [belt cost plus labor plus overhead] by [number of parts ground]

Metal Removal: The rate of metal removal is determined by material to be ground, contact wheel durometer, belt type, belt speed (SFPM) and the amount of pressure applied during grinding. Grinding belts provided for the entire grinder line are zirconia alumina.

Performance: Zirconia alumina belts offer optimum performance when grinding mild and stainless steels.
